Happy Day After Independence Day! I was tied up with stuff yesterday so forgive me for not wishing you a wonderful day on the day. I salute the men and women of the Armed Forces who help make our country safe and allow us to have the freedoms we as Americans so often take for granted. However the Original Freedom Fighter died so that we can be free…free from the bondage of sin, free from temptation, free from whatever holds you captive. Please know that freedom ain’t free, some Body paid the cost so we can be the be the boss and that someone is Jesus!
I spent yesterday chillin in the “Summer Office” with my good friend, Aleia eating yummy pizza and sipping on Watermelon Martinis (they tasted like Jolly Rancher watermelon candies). It was rejuvenating to sit back, talk eat and enjoy good conversation. Didn’t wear anything blog worthy but I’ll have you know that Aleia has been keeping her pretty on since our shopping trip a few month back.
My vision board is finished! I tweeted about it a few days ago (whaat, you don’t follow me on Twitter, you can correct that right now, just click on here) and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I took part in the 31 Day Reset Your Life Challenge and while I am still plugging away ’cause I’m really behind, I did accomplish this task with excellence. My blogger buddy Tracy wants to create a vision board but isn’t sure how to go about it, well I’m here to tell you that there is no wrong or right way to do it, you just envision what you see happening in and for your life then set about putting the idea in some type of tangible form so you can see it daily and begin to allow it to push you to transform your life. I’m envisioning many changes and new beginnings for me but I needed to see it to allow it to get down into my spirit. Habakkuk 2:2-3: says
2And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by. 3For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.
And lastly my outfit for today was comprised of my white pencil skirt with a lace burnout tank top, silver and black accessories and my new babies….the faux Dany platforms that everyone is wearing around the blogosphere. I coveted those shoes so much but they were not in my price range so I lusted from afar but wham, I walked into BareFoot last week just looking to do a little window shopping and there they were they perfect replica of my much desired shoe and 30% off. SOLD! Now that I have them in my possession I hope I can stop wearing them every chance I get (remember my clogs??)
Go forth and please…Be stylish
