This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting two of my favorite bloggers and fellow BLM girls, Kerissa of A divamomsjourney and Roodlyne of Anointed Heels. I was in need of a little fun and fellowship, so I decided to take the drive to South Florida to meet up with these ladies who I have been talking with for so long. It was a long drive (4 hours) but can you say it was worth every minute of it! These ladies were simply awesome, down to earth and full of life! And did I mention the gorgeous heads of natural hair they both have ? Simply beautiful!

I had already been spending time with Roodlyne through our phone conversations and constant texting, she is also a member of my personal tribe, remember this post? She is every bit of exactly who I thought she would be, sweet and kind.

Kerissa and I have tweeted back and forth for a while, I have long been an admirer of her blog, she is honest, authentically real and funny as heck!! She had me laughing all night long. Both ladies were unpretentious and I felt at ease being in their company. You know how you are dying to meet someone only to discover once you actually meet them they are stuck up or you just don’t click??? Well there was none of that here, it was all love (at least for me, lol)

Our evening kicked off when Roodlyne picked me up at my hotel… shout out to the Embassy Suites PGA, loved everything about this hotel. They had swans in the lobby…swans people!

Sidebar I am fast becoming a fan of the Embassy Suites hotels because of their attention to detail, family friendly atmosphere and it is kind to the budget without scrimping on amenities (I am all about the amenities, I’m kind of a hotel snob). Ok back to the evening, after the initial greetings we wasted no time in snapping a few pics before leaving to meet Kerissa.

Kerissa was waiting for us at The Cheesecake Factory where we commenced to eating, drinking and causing a general ruckus. Kerissa taught me the fine art of cleaning my silverware in hot water of which I will be eternally grateful, lol.

After dinner we scouted a prime location and you know what happened next right..we did what style bloggers do, staged a photo shoot followed by an Instagram take over (you are following me on Instagram aren’t you?) Truthfully I had not had so much fun in quite a long time, I heart these ladies so much.

We planned to have a beach day the following afternoon however the weather did not choose to honor our request, so I hit the road early after a delicious breakfast. Thank you Roodlyne and Kerissa for giving this woman some very much needed girl time. For all those skeptics who think you can’t meet nice people through the internet…I say whatever, I have met some great people through my social network and plan to continue doing so, so take that!

Until next time, go forth and please…be stylish!

What fabulous ladies. I have yet to stage blogger meetups, one day… Loving the chocolate velour blazer.

You have to do one Traci, I seriously had the best time ever. It really helps the connection to the people who read your blog. I keep trying to give this blazer to Goodwill but so glad I keep hanging on to it.
