So I told you, rather I showed you my Christmas gift from my husband on Instagram (this is why you should be following me on IG)which was a new camera. I’m learning how to use it so I decided to head to the beach for a little photo shoot of the surroundings.

I know I have spoke of my love for the beach before but I never get tired of talking about it. It soothes my soul in a way that nothing else does, it’s calming presence always gets me into a happy place. I love the beach and warm weather so much that I use to be a summer chaser. That’s a person who travels around looking for summer wherever they go. I have been to a variety of warm weather countries just to keep summer close all year round. Now that I live in Florida, I can just travel for the sake of discovering new places.  The beach in the winter is a different kind of animal though, it is austere, still beautiful but more of a stark beauty. There are less people, the water takes on a greyish cast and the sand seems whiter almost like snow.

I’m learning how to use a tripod as well, my usual photographers are trying to abdicate their position, LOL.  These are a few of my pics from the day, I think they are not too bad but I can only get better from here right?
